This course will include lecture, weapons handling and firearm qualification. Topics covered will be the laws regarding possession of the concealed carrying of the firearm. Emphasis on the laws and standards regarding the use of deadly force, avoidance of deadly force, the de-escalation of force and civil and criminal liability, firearm maintenance, four basic firearms safety rules, range safety, home firearms safety, the elements of pistol marksmanship. Practical application will consist of weapons handling, weapons presentation, holstering, and weapons qualification.
