Service Description

COURSE OVERVIEW The CCW Tactics Class is designed for concealed-carry permit holders who want to build practical skills beyond the basic licensing requirements. The course focuses on safely accessing, presenting, and managing a concealed firearm during realistic defensive situations. Students will train in a controlled environment using practical drills that emphasize sound judgment, situational awareness, movement, communication, and responsible decision-making under stress. This class is appropriate for current CCW permit holders and individuals who have completed foundational handgun training. Participants should already understand basic firearm safety, loading and unloading procedures, and safe weapon handling. TRAINING TOPICS • Situational awareness and threat recognition • Safe access and presentation from concealment • Movement and use of available cover • Verbal commands and de-escalation • Defensive decision-making under stress • Defensive tactics regarding the reasonable use of force • Close-range and confined-space considerations • Protecting and retaining the concealed firearm • Post-incident actions and communication with law enforcement • Understanding when force should not be used COURSE GOALS By the end of the class, students should have a better understanding of their current capabilities, identify areas requiring additional training, and develop safer, more confident responses to potential defensive situations. Training Approach Instruction is provided by NANPOR’s certified and experienced instructors through demonstrations, guided drills, scenario-based exercises, and individualized coaching. Safety, judgment, accountability, and responsible firearm ownership remain the foundation of every training exercise.
